How to use the Karz payoff planner
Add each debt you owe: who it is to (a relative, a shop, a credit card, a loan), the amount still left, and how much you can honestly pay towards it every month. If a loan charges interest, you may type the yearly rate so the estimate is realistic; leave it empty for interest-free (qarz-e-hasana) loans. Then choose an order and press Make my plan. You will see your total debt, your total monthly payment, the order to clear them, the month each one finishes and how many months until you are debt-free.
Sab karz ek jagah likhein. Chhote karz pehle khatam karne se himmat badhti hai — aur har khatam hone wali qist agle karz mein lag jaati hai.
Smallest first or largest first?
Smallest first (the "snowball" method) clears small debts quickly, which gives you early wins and frees up money for the next one. Largest first suits you if one big debt worries you most. If a particular person needs their money back urgently, or a lender is pressing you, choose My order and use the arrows to put that debt first. With the snowball option ticked, every payment you free up rolls into the next debt, which shortens the total time.
Why paying debt matters in Islam
Allah commands writing down debts so that nobody is wronged (Quran 2:282), and asks lenders to be gentle: "And if the debtor is in hardship, then grant him time until ease" (Quran 2:280). The Prophet ﷺ took debt very seriously: "All the sins of a shahid (martyr) are forgiven except debt" (Sahih Muslim 1886). He ﷺ also used to seek refuge from the burden of debt: Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan… wa ḍalaʿid-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijāl — "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief… and from the burden of debt and being overpowered by men" (Sahih al-Bukhari 6369).
Islam forbids riba (interest): "Allah has permitted trade and forbidden riba" (Quran 2:275). The optional interest field is only there to show the real cost of an existing loan, so you can make clearing it a priority.
Important: This tool gives general guidance. Har shakhs ka maamla alag ho sakta hai — apne personal case ke liye kisi mustanad local aalim ya mufti se zaroor mashwara karein.
FAQ / Aksar pooche jaane wale sawal
How are the months to clear calculated?
Each month the planner pays every debt its monthly amount (after adding any optional interest). If snowball is on, the payment of a finished debt moves to the next debt in your chosen order. The month the last balance reaches zero is your debt-free month.
Should I pay the smallest debt first?
Smallest first gives quick wins and motivation. If a lender needs money urgently or a loan charges high interest, put that one first using My order.
Do I need to enter interest?
No. Leave it empty for interest-free loans from family or friends. Fill it only for an existing loan that charges interest, to see a realistic timeline.
Is my debt data private?
Yes. Your list is saved only in your browser's localStorage on this device and is never sent to our server.
