🌙 Moon sighting (±1 day): Ramadan dates here come from the Umm al-Qura calendar built into your browser. In India and Pakistan, Ramadan begins with local moon sighting, so 1 Ramadan may fall one day later (occasionally earlier). The sehri and iftar time for each date stays the same — only the roza number moves. Apne shehar ki Ruet-e-Hilal committee ka elaan hi final hai.

How to use the Sehri & Iftar timetable

Choose your city or press Use my location. The table lists every day of Ramadan 1448 AH with the roza number, the date, the time sehri ends (the start of Fajr) and the time of iftar (Maghrib, at sunset). Fridays are shaded, and roza numbers 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29 are in gold — the odd nights of the last ten days fall on the evening before each. Press Print / Save as PDF for a clean one-page copy to stick on the fridge or share with family. You can change the calculation method: only its Fajr angle affects sehri, and iftar is at sunset whichever method you choose.

Ramadan 1448 dates (2027)

According to the Umm al-Qura calendar, 1 Ramadan 1448 falls on Monday, 8 February 2027, so the first taraweeh is on the evening before. The calendar gives Ramadan 29 days this year, with Eid al-Fitr on about Tuesday, 9 March 2027. In India and Pakistan the month begins with the sighting of the crescent, so your local start may be a day later. In Hyderabad the first fast runs from 5:32 AM to 6:15 PM (about 12 h 43 min) and the last from 5:18 AM to 6:24 PM; in Karachi from 5:53 AM to 6:22 PM on the first day. For other years see our Ramadan calendars 2027–2035.

Sehri: when it ends and why it matters

Allah says: "And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the night" (Quran 2:187). Sehri therefore ends when true dawn — the start of Fajr — begins, which is the time in the table. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged this meal: "Take Suhur as there is a blessing in it" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1923, narrated by Anas ibn Malik). Zaid ibn Thabit said they took sehri with the Prophet ﷺ and then he stood for prayer, and the interval between the sehri and the adhan was enough to recite fifty verses (Sahih al-Bukhari 1921).

Many printed calendars in India and Pakistan stop eating a few minutes before Fajr as a precaution (ihtiyat). If your masjid's calendar does that, follow it.

Iftar at sunset

The Prophet ﷺ said: "When night falls from this side and the day vanishes from this side and the sun sets, then the fasting person should break his fast" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1954), and "The people will remain on the right path as long as they hasten the breaking of the fast" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1957). Iftar is therefore given at Maghrib — the moment of sunset. Because masjids may announce the adhan a minute or two after the calculated time, listen for your local adhan where you can.

FAQ / Aksar pooche jaane wale sawal

When does Ramadan 2027 start in India and Pakistan?

The Umm al-Qura calendar puts 1 Ramadan 1448 on Monday, 8 February 2027. In India and Pakistan it depends on local moon sighting, so it may begin a day later. Follow your Ruet-e-Hilal committee.

Should I stop eating exactly at the sehri time shown?

The time shown is when Fajr begins, which is when sehri ends. Many local calendars advise finishing a few minutes earlier as a precaution; follow your masjid's guidance.

What if Ramadan starts a day later where I live?

The sehri and iftar times for each calendar date stay the same. Only the roza number shifts by one, so roza 1 in your city would be the second row of the table.

Can I print the timetable?

Yes. Press Print / Save as PDF; the menus, ads and article are hidden in print, leaving the city name and the full month's table.
